My wix site - Ideas & techniques

I sat down and worked on the MY wix site so that you could see what could be done and what is expected. Found some interesting ideas along the way like how to add information to photos. Thought a little about why its a good photo, trying to take into account the idea and the photographic technique used. You will need to do this for your images you wish to hand in.

For example, the image of Paris is beautifully lit with warm light that highlights the subjects face. It creates a nostalgic point of view, a nod to a bygone era, as evident in the clothes, makeup and the subtle use of props. She holds a lantern close to her face as if illuminating what she is observing in the distance. Her hands are carfully positioned on the sill with the compostion dynamically balanced. This image is carfully composed and well executed becasue of the precise lighting and attention to detail. The photographer was interested in creating a narrative which the viewer is able to interpret, we glimps a quieter time in history, a subtle nostalgic point of view, maybe something we long for in our busy lives.
